Delegation (NN) Visa in Vietnam
The Nhóm người nước ngoài (NN) Visa is issued to heads of representative offices and branches who are part of official delegations or groups of foreign traders. There are three types of delegation visas in Vietnam, which depend on the applicant’s role within an organization.

What can you do with an NN Visa in Vietnam?
✅ Allowed with Delegate Visa:
- Business activities relating to the scope of your role within an NGO, international organization, or foreign trader
- Tourism and travel within Vietnam
- Renewal and extensions
❌ Not Allowed with Delegate Visa:
- Employment or working for compensation for other companies or organizations
- Commercial activities that go outside of NGO scope
- Conversion to different visa types is generally not possible
How to get a delegate visa in Vietnam?
The required documents for applying for the delegate Visa in Vietnam are mostly consistent, regardless of the category, except in terms of supporting evidence for stay:
- Passport valid for at least 6 months
- Invitation letter from agency or organization sponsoring your visa
- Documents proving investment in Vietnam (NN1)
- Documents proving you are head of representative office or branch of a foreign company (NN2)
- Work contract with a foreign organization, office, or branch in Vietnam (NN3)
