Investor (DT) Visa in Vietnam
The Đầu Tư (DT) Visa is issued to foreign investors in Vietnam and representatives of foreign organizations investing in Vietnam. There are 4 different tiers of DT visas, which are determined by the amount of capital contribution, as well as the industries of investment.

| DT4 | <03 billion VND | 1 year |
What can you do with a DT Visa in Vietnam?
✅ Allowed with DT Visa:
- Business activities (management, signing contracts, negotiation talks)
- Employment or working for compensation within the company you are investing in
- Multiple-entries
❌ Not Allowed with DT Visa:
- Employment or working for compensation companies unrelated to your investment
- Non-investment related activities (tourism, business activities for other companies)
- Conversion to different visa types is generally not possible
How to get an investor visa in Vietnam?
For investors abroad:
- Certified copy of ERC/IRC or the organization’s establishment decision
- Form introducing the seal and signature of the company’s authorized person
- Photocopy of foreign investor’s passport and Guarantee Letter.
For sponsored investors in Vietnam:
- Copy of ERC/IRC certification or establishment decision of the organization
- Form introducing the seal and signature of the company’s authorized person
- Original copy of the investor’s passport and valid temporary residence card
- Visa application form
- Temporary residence registration form according to regulations.
