What can you do with a VR Visa in Vietnam?
✅ Allowed with VR Visa:
- Visit relatives in Vietnam
- Long-term travel/tourism activities
- Medical procedures
- Multiple entries
❌ Not Allowed with VR Visa:
- Employment or working for compensation
- Business activities (management, signing contracts, negotiation talks)
- Long-term study programs/degrees
- Activities for long-term residency
How to get a visitor visa in Vietnam?
To obtain a VR Visa in Vietnam, you demonstrate that you have a relative who is a citizen of the country or is sponsored by one. You will be required to provide documentation proving the relationship between yourself and the guarantor.
The following documents are necessary for securing the VR Visa:
- A passport valid for at least 1 year.
- Entry Approval letter
- Issued after validating documents proving the personal relationship between the applicant/sponsor and a notarized copy of the sponsor’s Vietnamese ID
