DL visa in Vietnam

The Vietnamese Du Lich (tourist) visa allows you to stay in the country for up to 90 days. The Visa can be obtained in a Vietnamese embassy in your home country or upon arrival in Vietnam

What can you do with a DL Visa in Vietnam?

Allowed with DL Visa:

  • Tourism and leisure activities
  • Short-term non-degree classes related to culture or language
  • Visiting relatives or friends
  • limited business meetings and seminars

❌ Not Allowed with DL Visa:

  • Employment or working for compensation
  • Long-term study programs/degrees
  • Activities for long-term residency
  • Business operations (setting up or managing a company)

How to get a DL Visa in Vietnam?

To obtain a DL Visa in Vietnam, you must present the following documents to the immigration officer upon arrival for immigration inspection or at a Vietnamese consulate in your home country:

  • A passport valid for at least six months.
  • Proof of accommodation
  • An outbound ticket from Vietnam.
  • Visa approval letter issued by the Vietnam Immigration Department (for Visa on Arrival)

Compliance with Vietnamese laws and respect for local customs and culture are also expected during your stay.
