Medical visa in Thailand

The medical visa allows you to stay in Thailand for up to 90 days for obtaining medical treatment (can be extended up to one year). The Visa can be obtained in a Thai embassy in your home country or upon arrival in Thailand.

How to get a medical visa in Thailand?

To obtain a medical visa in Thailand, you must present several documents demonstrating the validity of your stay and your ability to support yourself financially:

  • A passport valid for at least six months.
  • Confirmation of Hospital appointment or treatment plan
  • Proof of financial means for duration of stay (800,000 Baht)
  • Health insurance covering a minimum of 3 Million Baht

Compliance with Thai laws and respect for local customs and culture are also expected during your stay.
