Tourist visa in Thailand
The Thai tourist visa allows you to stay in Thailand for up to 60 days (can be extended for a further 30 days). The Visa can be obtained in a Thai embassy in your home country or upon arrival in Thailand.
What can you do with a visa on arrival?
✅ Allowed with Visa on Arrival:
- Tourism activities
- Attending meetings
- Purchasing goods
- Negotiating contracts
- Seeking medical treatment
❌ Not Allowed with Visa on Arrival:
- Working for compensation.
- Selling services or goods.
- Receiving rewards from Thai entities.
- Engaging in journalism or research.
- Long-term residence or employment
How to get a visa on arrival in Thailand?
To obtain a Visa on arrival in Thailand, you must present the following documents to the immigration officer upon arrival for immigration inspection:
- A passport valid for at least six months.
- An outbound ticket from Thailand.
- Proof of financial means for duration of stay (20,000 Baht)
Compliance with Thai laws and respect for local customs and culture are also expected during your stay.
