Visit visas in Indonesia
Visit Indonesia for 60-180 days (extendable), depending on the type of guarantor and purpose of the stay.
What are the allowed purposes of a visit visa?

| C12 | Business start-up endeavors | Government agency or private institution explaining the relationship with applicants. |
| C13 | Joining vessels within Indonesian waters | Proof from the government agency or company stating the foreigner will join the vessel. |
| C14 | Production of foreign films | Permit for filming location from the relevant ministry. |
| C15 | Emergency or urgent work | Statement from government agency or private institution explaining the urgency of the foreigner’s presence in overcoming the occurrence caused by natural disasters, damage of the main engine, or riots / protests that need to be handled immediately to avoid fatal losses for the company and/or the public. |

| C3 | Medical treatment and recovery | Statement from government agency/private institution, or statement from the applicant which explains that the foreigner will conduct medical treatment in the Indonesian Territory. |
| C4 | Activities related to government business | Invitation or statements from a government agency. |
| C5 | Coverage of news events | Invitations or information from government institutions/interview transcript that has been approved by the resource person/a statement from the Indonesian embassy regarding news coverage plans in Indonesia, including a press ID. |
✅ Allowed with visit visa:
- Engage in tourism activities, like sightseeing and exploring cultural landmarks.
- Visit friends or family for personal gatherings or events.
- Attend business-related activities such as meetings, seminars, or workshops.
- Participate in short-term educational courses or training programs that are not part of a full-time curriculum.
- Undergo medical treatment or recovery in Indonesian healthcare facilities.
❌ Not allowed with visa:
- Engage in any form of employment.
- Enroll in a full-time educational courses beyond the validity of the visa.
- Remain in Indonesia beyond the visa validity period without proper extensions.
- Engage in political activities.
How to get a visit visa in Indonesia?
First of all, you need to have a guarantor (see requirements in the table above) for your visit in Indonesia. If you don’t have one, consult with one of the Emerhub’s consultants and we will help you find a solution.
Required documents for a visit visa:
- A valid passport with a minimum validity of 6 months
- A completed visa application form
- A recent color photograph of the applicant
- Proof of return ticket or onward journey
- Evidence of sufficient funds for the duration of stay
- Supporting documents relevant to the purpose of the visit
